IN PROMOTING YOUR BUSINESS!!!
Have you begun to embrace social media as a marketing tool? Most internet savvy Professionals and Entrepreneurs are members of one or more of the Social Groups mentioned in the headline. I am a member of all three. I must confess it takes hard work to build up a list of followers in the thousands but it can be very rewarding. It takes patience to get a substantial following but you can gain popularity on most of the leading groups in a short time only that it comes at a price. I get a lot of information about what’s happening in the real estate sector through these sources.
Many local businesses are using Facebook to promote their offerings. Website developers, night clubs and internet radio stations are a few that are taking advantage of this Social Medium. It is time that those who are not using Facebook and other social media to promote theirs products and services – begin to do so. Twitter with the use of 140 characters, you can do miracles with a website link. This is a fast moving process. Numbers mean a lot and could be a serious promotional tool when your followers are in the thousands. You can build a serious network and you can gain great rewards. There is an abundance of free information on the internet on the use of social media as a marketing tool. Do a Search and see what you come up with and give some thought to this opportunity that is yet to be effectively utilized in the area of business. Don’t be concerned about the gossip that goes on in the groups, your objective is to capture eye balls with a compelling story and do business. As a business person/professional doing business should be your principal objective.
I am looking forward to the day when a Speakers’ Bureau will be established in St. Lucia to afford professionals an opportunity to give of their time to share information that will make a difference in economic and social terms which will ultimately cause our people to prosper. I said it before and I repeat it again, our leaders must lead the charge to empower our people. It is not always about money, it is about imparting knowledge from which the people will be empowered. There is a lot of information that needs to be filtered down to the people which can be of immense benefit to them.
It is difficult to be alive in today’s world and not think about doing something to help to minimize the effects of poverty on the less fortunate. It is about SERVICE ABOVE SELF. There is too much Selfishness in our world. It is all about SELF. Where is the Love? What can be done to make your community a better place? The year 2010 is fast approaching. What are your plans to deal with the challenges that seem to be insurmountable in your own life and then in the lives of other. You may be surprised to know that in applying the reverse approach, you may be a greater beneficiary. I have a lot to write about as the curtain comes down on 2009.
