\nWhat a week it will be? It is just 2 days before the most decisive elections in the history of the USA. This is a time for prayers. We need to pray and we are going to begin with inviting Yahweh\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s presence.

\nAlmighty and most gracious heavenly Father, we your humble children seek your divine intervention in our affairs, especially as we seek leaders in this world who will guide us with due consideration in all things, as you will want them to be. Take control dear Father Yahweh and deliver us from all evil. Amen.

COVID 19 is surging
\nEngland goes on 1 month lockdown, effective this Thursday. The USA has recorded over 9Million cases, 98,000 cases on Friday alone, and over 230,000 deaths.
\nHere in St. Lucia, in spite of the sharp increase in cases, we continue to be COVID 19 Death Free. Our Government has put into effect orders dated 30\/10\/20 to implement new restrictions to ensure that citizens, including fishermen abide by the systems that have been put in place. I saw it coming and hinted to it last week. These orders expire on November 30 except for fishermen which ends on 8\/11\/20. I am confident that with the cooperation of all citizens, we will be able to control the virus.
\nLet us continue to adhere to the protocols \u00e2\u20ac\u201c washing our hands, wearing masks and maintaining social distancing. Don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t take things for granted, we must remain on guard in an effort to minimise new cases and keep St. Lucia COVID 19 Death Free.<\/p>\n
Developments in the other CARICOM States:
\nSuriname is moving ahead in forging joint action with Guyana to ensure access to each other\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s territory \u00e2\u20ac\u201c bridging the Corentyne River. Substantial developments in the area of Commerce can be expected in the short term.
\nGuyanese are moving ahead, the people are settling down to the reality that the election results have brought about regime change. The G77 conference was hosted by Guyana last week, though virtually. Things are happening as Guyana re-establishes its position on the world stage. At home, the urgency to settle down to business is evident. Ministers are meeting the people and making commitments to respond to their needs. It is now up to the people to demand what is due to them and that their interests are served by the new government which seems willing to respond to the needs of the people. It is time to move on. Travel restrictions are being lifted and investors and other persons needing to travel will be facilitated.<\/p>\n
Citizens of St. Vincent and The Grenadines will go to the polls this week, to be specific on Thursday 5th November, 2020. The slim one seat majority of Dr. Gonsalves\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 government makes the elections very competitive. It should be Dr. Gonsalves\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 objective to expand his majority, while it should be the Opposition\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s intention to win even by one seat. It will not be long before the speculations are over with a clear winner being declared. May the better team win.
\nThe Bahamas, they have just opened up to tourists, like many other states in the region. Let us pray for a November Miracle when the spread of the virus will ease. Ninety-eight thousand cases in the USA in a single day are too many.
\nWe cannot afford another shutdown, anywhere in the world but it is going to happen as early as this week.
\nJamaica and Trinidad continue to be challenged by the virus.<\/p>\n
Developments in the U.S.A.
\nTwo more days before citizens of the USA go to the polls. President Trump is on the ropes. He seems to be single-handedly taking on President Obama and VP Biden, as they reach out to the voters in the closing hours of the campaign. There is a strong contrast between the two campaigns while The Donald is engaged in street fighting, VP Biden is engaged in promoting a message of deliverance for all the people of the USA, whether they support him or not.
\nThe many problems of the USA are right before the eyes of the electorate but some will never see them. COVID 19 pandemic is raging, with 98,000 COVID 19 cases in a single day. President Trump has shown no sympathy for his supporters as he insists upon having public rallies, not demanding his supporters to wear masks and maintain social distancing. While VP Biden is busy trying to shield his supporters from the virus, President Trump is busy exposing his people.
\nPresident Obama has given public support to his VP and friend Joe Biden, and the vibration can be felt \u00e2\u20ac\u201c change is coming!
\nThere is not much to be said at this stage, except the mail-in ballot and personal voting are at an all-time high. That is a positive sign for the Democrats.
\nMany plans for election watch parties in St. Lucia and elsewhere will have to be cancelled due to new COVID 19 restrictions. Maybe, we can have some Zoom Election Watch Parties. Send me a link.

Staying Alive Financially:
\nThe COVID 19 pandemic is surging, restrictions are back in many countries, the mandatory wearing of masks is being implemented, some persons have been calling for a total shut down. This holiday season will be very bad for businesses. Santa will be out of business this year. No hugging. Our options in relation to finding a side hustle in the retail sector are almost now existent. We are left with ICT businesses. I will like to hear from you if you find any business that you will like to share. In the meantime, let us seek out options on Google and Youtube.<\/p>\n
