I returned home a few days ago from a MLM Cruise where I had the opportunity of cruising with MLM Stars and meet many big hitters in the Industry. It was the nineteenth cruise sponsored by Tom Schreiter (Big Al) and Art Jonak. This is one cruise I will like to recommend to everyone who is seeking an opportunity to develop their people skills and make a passive or residual income. The days at sea are filled in with seminars with presentation by the best of the best in the industry.
Leverage is a term you must make every effort to get familiar with. I will venture my definition of the word as applied to the MLM industry. It is about duplicating yourself and putting people to work for you. The power of five is being touted by many trainers in the in the industry but the reality is – if you can build an organisation between 20 to 30 independent distributors you are set for life. The same could be said of the Real Estate Industry.
During the cruise, I had the pleasure of meeting with Mr. Jordan Adler, the author of Beach Money, attended a training session where he was one of the presenters and shared a one hour free consultation with four other persons over lunch with him. He is an extra ordinary success in the MLM industry. He succeeded after joining eleven companies and made no money. But had faith in the industry and went on to his twelfth company where he changed his fortune and moved on to his thirteenth where he is at the top with an organisation of 35,000 persons.
The training provided on the cruise was awesome and come 2009 I am going to make Beach Money. For the first time, I can boldly confess I have found the system. Success cannot be achieved without a system. I also found myself in the company of successful people who are making fortunes at distributing coffee, candles, water purifying liquid, cosmetics, greeting cards, nutritional products in capsules and liquid, etc. It dawned on me that people make a success with any product for which a demand exists.
I studied long and hard about product suitability to our region. Products that attract freight and duty are just not taking off in a sustained manner in the Caribbean. Residual earning is only possible in a sustainable business. Too many good products fall by the way side because of two reasons: 1. The parent companies are not really interested in opening up the Caribbean because of its small population but are pushed by leaders who feel that they can get that support if they build a team. So they establish a USA address to receive the products and get them shipped to the final destination. 2. Moving products increase cost and push the final retail price to an unsustainable level.
MLM is the only hope for the small man. It is also proven that in difficult financial times, more people are attracted to the industry and because more people take a wait and see position while reducing their social activities, they have more money available to spend on products introduced to them through the MLM system.
I am hoping that a few of the contacts I made will visit St. Lucia and participate in a few seminars to develop a core of MLM Independent Distributors that will expand their territory to include the world stage. It is all about the product we select. There are a few products that will work great for us in this region.
I am working on my first article for 2009 and I will be providing my readers with a number of opportunities for providing multiple sources of income by focusing on one business at a time.
