Harris At Large on Sunday! Program: #20
Salutation/Introduction:
Hi Folks! Happy Sunday! This Facebook Live Show is coming to you live from my home in Black Bay, Vieux Fort, Saint Lucia. I am your Host – Edward Harris.
Here is my selected Quote for today:
“The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched – they must be felt with the heart.” -Helen Keller
Housekeeping:
As usual, the notes of my weekly programme will be posted on my archive at www.stluciasimplybeautiful.com While visiting you can catch up on over 400 of my articles archived on the site. I strongly encourage you to read the detailed notes provided on the website. Currently working on my E-book – Best 100 Articles by Ed Harris. It is a journey between 2005 to 2008 looking at what I wrote about then and what I will have to write about now. The world has changed.
Thought of the week:
Live every day as your last so that your every action will be to the benefit of others.
Anniversary Wishes:
To all those who are celebrating an anniversary or anniversaries this week, I wish you and your loved ones, Happiness with lots of Blessings!
Saint Lucia today:
St. Lucia Simply Beautiful and Blessed – I feel like singing. St. Lucia continues to be COVID 19 Death Free and for this, we should be thankful. There must be something special about St. Lucia. Let us acknowledge this fact and be the best we can.
While there is a lot of talk about elections, there is no clear sign of a date being announced as there are still constituency slots to be filled.
It is very stressful to awake every day and hope that COVID 19 will soon end but there remains no end in sight. However, St. Lucians while being concerned about their future, are cheerfully taking it one day at a time, counting their blessings!
Before I move on, I don’t want to stop pointing to the protocols which have kept us safe so far – washing hands, wearing masks, and keeping social distancing.
Politics in the Region and the United States of America:
CARICOM States
Beginning with Guyana, we must not forget the dastardly acts of those who murdered the three young men on the West Coast of Berbice in Guyana. It is heartening to learn the position taken by the Government that in the interest of transparency, regional and international investigators have been invited to visit Guyana to assist local law enforcement professionals.
US Secretary of State Michael Pompeo visited Guyana this past week and was very pleased with the final outcome of the election, praising Democracy to the point that he donated 4.5 million US dollars to fostering Democracy in Guyana. Future cooperation with the USA in areas of the economy and maritime issues including drug trafficking and Venezuela were high on the agenda. Secretary Pompeo insisted – Maduro must go! Five million US dollars were donated to help Venezuelans who crossed over to Guyana.
Politics in the U.S.A.
Both presidential candidates were out in the field campaigning this past week. Unfortunately, President Trump continues to expose his supporters to the virus by hosting meetings with no requirement to wear masks. There have never been so many books written about any past US president. There is a lot more to be written as the real Donald J. Trump is revealed. What manner of man is he?
He is ready to make his last hit on the Supreme Court of the land with the passing of Justice Ginsburg. It was her wish to deny President Trump that right but she may yet have the last laugh from heaven. President Trump has already expressed his desire to fill the vacancy without delay. One thing about the Donald is that he is predictable. Everyone who follows him, saw that coming.
Over the next 44 days, it can only get hotter. VP Joe Biden seems ready to take on the Donald. If we are to judge from the CNN Town Hall last Thursday night, VP Biden is warmed up and ready for the first debate on the 29th of September. It will be Sampson and Goliath event, we all know how that ended.
Going forward, President Trump will definitely have to explain to the nation who is responsible for the loss of over 200K lives. Who ignored the advice of medical professionals? Who is playing politics with the health care of the nation? This election seems to boil down to one topic – Who will handle the COVID 19 pandemic better? It is not about Jobs, not about the stock market, not about dismantling Obama Care, it’s all about STAYING ALIVE –Surviving COVID 19. Interesting days are ahead.
Staying Alive Financially:
There is no shortage of Courses on Home Based Businesses and MLM opportunities that are available today. Every day, several new MLM companies are launched in spite of the fact that only 25% of the participants succeed. The key is for you to be in the 25%. To be in the 25% you have to study the industry. I have started a Facebook Group to give you an understanding of the industry with recommendation of trainers and websites that provide pertinent information. You can visit www.facebook.com/mlmfactfinder There is an important point you need to know, MLM is a global business, so you don’t have to rely on family and friends to be successful. You can access trainers for free on Youtube. Whenever you feel confident to join a company, you will be provided with company-specific training. At least you will get firsthand knowledge of salesmanship. There will be no shortage of meetings and webinars to enhance your training. The MLM industry engages its participants with a high degree of motivation.

Conclusion:
Let us continue to keep our eyes on Guyana and the USA, and pray that God will put a hand in the affairs of men everywhere.
Keep the faith, Yahweh is in charge, keep on praying and expect daily Miracles!
Stay safe, until next week.
Your host – Ed Harris – Bye!
