The Guyana – St. Lucia Association held its 7th Annual General Meeting on Saturday, 3rd September, 2005 at the Bay Gardens Inn, Rodney Bay, Gros Islet.
The newly elected Executive Board comprises of Edward Harris – President, Alyson Chester – Vice President, Sonjette Rodrigues – Secretary, Terrence Campbell – Treasurer, Patrick Chester – Public Relations Officer, Adrian George and Helena Neptune – Committee Members, Mervyn Devonish – Southern Chapter Representative
At the 1st Executive Board Meeting scheduled for Tuesday, 13th September, 2005, additional Committee Members will be co-opted and Convenors of Special Committees will be identified.
In the meantime, the President and Members with the co-operation of Mr. Lokesh Singh, Honourary Consul for Guyana to Saint Lucia are moving ahead with plans for a Delegation of Businesspersons and Individuals to visit Guyana for Guy Expo 2005 which will be held at Sophia Exhibition Site during the period September 22 to 27, 2005.
His Excellency Bharrat Jagdeo, President of the Republic of Guyana during a recent visit to St. Lucia extended an invitation to the Association for a Delegation to attend this year’s Guy Expo.
