BUSINESS MISSION TO GUYANA – GUYEXPO 2009
Visionary Consultants in association with the Office of the Honorary Consul for Guyana to Saint Lucia is coordinating a Business Mission to Guyana to coincide with GUYEXPO 2009 which is scheduled to be held from October 1 – 6, 2009 in Georgetown.
The Mission will give business persons first hand exposure to goods and services being produced in Guyana. In recent times, business persons have been seeking to source a number of products and services from Guyana with limited success. Already Associates of Visionary Consultants along with the direct intervention of Mr. Lokesh Singh, Honorary Consul for Guyana to Saint Lucia are working to ensure that St. Lucian business persons will meet with their Guyanese counterparts to formalize Distribution and Joint Venture Agreements during the period of the exhibition. The principal objective is to secure two way trade in goods and services.
A booth will be set up within the Exhibition facility to promote St. Lucian products and services and allow business persons to meet and discuss offers. Special airfare and hotel rates are being arranged.
Mr. Edward Harris is the Lead Consultant for Visionary Consultants and with the support of the Honorary Consul and the Guyana St. Lucia Association coordinated two successful Missions to GUYEXPO, the last being in 2005. Since then a number of developments have taken place in both markets which makes it opportune to initiate such a Mission.
Individuals are also invited to join the Mission to visit Guyana and experience its cultural diversity. An optional trip will also be arranged for persons wishing to visit Madhia in the Potaro where hundreds of St. Lucians have made their home.
