MONEY ANSWERETH ALL THINGS!!!
In today’s world everyone is caught up with the pressures of life and money is at the root of all anxieties. Most people believe that there should be a more equitable distribution of the world’s wealth. Some countries sought in the past to find a solution by practicing Socialism. However, greed has always stood in the way.
I couldn’t resist bringing this portion of scripture to the attention of my readers which I came across recently – Ecclesiastes Chapter 10: Verse 19 …but Money answereth all things. Please note money answereth all things, not some things. As a Biblicist, I take the teachings of the Bible literally. Some people can only associate money with evil and maybe that it is the reason it runs from them rather than being attracted to them. I have a friend who by all standards can be considered wealthy and he has re coined the statement – “Health is Wealth†to Wealth is Health. You may wish to argue with him but today’s reality is that you can live longer if you have the money to seek the best medical attention. You can even change the way you look with plastic surgery. I predicted in my column a few weeks ago that I firmly believe that one day in the not too distant future productive life will be substantially extended. I receive a constant flow of information on Internet Marketing and new product launches and am amazed at the fast pace developments are taking place.
I made the point some time ago that Barbadians are more in tuned with MLM opportunities than St. Lucians and in most cases the opportunities are drawn to our attention by Barbadians and Trinidadians. Every passing day, scientists are labouring to find solutions to the health problems that plague our world. The same could be said about technology. The economic strength of any nation lies in its ability to be innovative. Research and development should be the major thrust. Many leaders in world trade feel confident that America will be able to maintain its dominance as a world power because of its strength in the area of research and development. America is always at the cutting edge of technology in bringing new products and services to the market. It is felt strongly that regardless of the level of outsourcing, America will always have the economic edge over the rest of the world.
Armed with the knowledge that innovation is key, it is incumbent upon all leaders in society to provide the guidance that will acquaint citizens with needs of the job market and prepare them to take their rightful places to truly make a contribution to the economic well being of the State. Education is key. The education system must be geared to produce persons who will be able to respond to the needs of the market. Who will provide the leadership? What are we doing with the internet? How many young people are knowledgeable about SEACH ENGINE OPTIMISATION? We talk a lot about finding jobs for the young people. It is time that leaders instill in the minds of the young people that they have to create their niche. They should come together in groups to explore the internet to identify goods and services, opportunities in general on the internet. Offer yourself as an apprentice. Rather than waiting for a job, create a job.
Young people are great with Social Groups such as Twitter, Facebook, Myspace, Youtube and the several other sites. Social Networking is being used to promote businesses. Select an export business and promote it on the internet. Set up a blog and begin to share ideas. Become an expert in your area of interest. Build your BRAND. Let the world know you have talent.
