Developments in Saint Lucia:
There is a surge of new cases in St. Lucia, total cases now stands at 123. Fortunately, there has not been any death. We must now do everything in our power to control this virus before it controls us. Let us ensure that we practice the established protocols and see to it that those around us do the same. Washing hands, wearing masks and maintaining social distancing is still the way to go.
It was so pleasing to hear the aircrafts flying overhead yesterday afternoon, It is hoped that the COVID 19 surge in the USA will not cause a slowing down of visitors to our island. The Travel Bubble no longer exists among the States and entry protocols will be established by each country.
Let us continue to love our island state – St. Lucia, Simply Beautiful and Blessed. The good news is that our cases continue to recover. Thank Yahweh for the caring hands of our medical team.
Developments in the other CARICOM States:
In keeping with the spirit of elections, in St. Vincent and The Grenadines, the incumbent ULP under the leadership of Dr. Ralph Gonsalves retained power with an expanded majority, gaining 9 seats in the parliament, and the opposition 6. Congratulations are in order for the winning party.
Later this week on Wednesday, 11/11/20, the citizens of Belize go to the polls.
The region has been very busy hosting elections this year.
Developments in the U.S.A.:
I was struck by Dengue fever the night after the elections. I am now recovering but was alert enough to follow the results of the elections which brought victory to the Democrats just about midday yesterday. I listened to President-Elect – Joe Biden’s acceptance speech last night and he was marvelous. He and his VP Kamala Harris are ready to go to work. President Trump has reaped the fruits of his labour. There are many lessons to be learnt from the US elections. President Trump has run an election of deception and the electorate to a great extent bought into it. As he would say, they drank the Cool Aid. It is amazing how many people voted for President Trump. People everywhere take leaders’ words seriously without checking their veracity. Word of Mouth spreads like wildfire. I always wonder – how spreaders of the disinformation virus can live with themselves? But sure they do and in many cases are the celebrities of politics in many nations.
As of yesterday, the United States of America has become a better place and re-established itself as a land of hope for all its peoples. President-Elect Joseph Biden is the modern-day Moses, he demanded that President Trump let his people go. I can only conclude that Yahweh heeded our call and has put a hand.
What else can I say today, the world has responded and the healing has begun. To Yahweh be the glory.
Staying Alive Financially:
We are today much more enthusiastic about the future as we await a Biden administration where truth, decency, and stability will be brought to the operations of the White House, and the entire world will benefit. Micro and Small Businesses will prosper again. The virus will be put under control.
It is not going to be easy, knowing President Trump, but it is my sincere hope that his enablers will tell him that Enough is Enough, let America be America, and breathe again. Businesses will prosper again. Creative ideas will flow and everyone will be able to Dream again.
Conclusion:
As the votes continue to be counted and the results come in let us Keep the Faith, Yahweh is in charge. Greater things are about to happen.
