MLM/NETWORK MARKETING, THE WAY TO GO – PART 2

In my last column, I highlighted the ability of the MLM industry to provide the Home Based Business subsector with opportunities unmatched by any other industry in its category. Just released figures show that the top earner (team of 2) walked away with in excess of US$31M for the year 2020.

Why am I so excited? Here, I am pointing to two major achievements of the MLM industry. 1) MLM generates substantial self-employment opportunities for Independent Distributors, and 2) MLM has the ability to transform lives, giving its Distributors independence, coupled with Financial and time freedom – fuelled by the power of residual income. “MLM is the only hope of the little guy.” Rod Cook.

Over the years, I participated in several MLM opportunities and met the heavyweights of the industry on two MLM cruises. While I have not made a success of any of the MLM opportunities I joined, my exposure to the industry has provided me with the knowledge to identify the problems within the industry. A way has to be found to minimise the hype and provide a level playing field where everyone will be treated equitably.

I am persuaded that the MLM industry is the only vehicle that can bring about massive change among individuals who seek to transform their lives from being unable to make a contribution to themselves and society, into being an active citizen, living a life with purpose. Life can be made simple for everyone, where the type of product and compensation will be among the best in the industry. I see the possibility of bringing some innovative features to the industry with the launch of a DIGITAL PRODUCT which will provide LifeStyle Guidance, dealing with problems that plague our society and pointing to the virtues of a purposeful life. I envision a product that will inform and educate, touching all aspects of human existence. Some of my recommended subject areas are Vocational Training, Personal Development, Family Life, Societal Behaviour, Healthy Lifestyle, Business Opportunities, Environmental Awareness, Tourism Experiences, etc. A network of persons will be providing the content for the core programmes.

Participants in the proposed MLM business opportunity will receive daily updates, and invitation to attend weekly webinars to further discuss developments in their Company, and receive training in their business. I see an opportunity that will encourage full participation of its Distributors.

Anyone with a smartphone and is active on social media platforms can be a success. There will be no excuses such as I can’t get a job, there are no jobs in my community, and all the other usual excuses. Both young and old, male and female will be able to make a contribution to their own upkeep, and living life with a sense of purpose.

I see a global opportunity for a Caribbean MLM project. We cannot ignore any longer, the opportunities this industry presents; the figures below tell the story.

A great example of the success that can be achieved in the MLM industry demands an introduction to Holton Buggs who opened the door to the glorious possibilities of the business.
