NEVER BE SURPRISED AT WHAT YOU HAVE ACHIEVED!
xistence in this troubled world is becoming more difficult with every passing day. What is most surprising is that for no reason whatever some people are determined to make life difficult for others. But we are all controlled by a higher power. Things  happen in persons’ lives – good and bad to which in many cases they have made absolutely no contribution. That’s the way it is. You can call the good experiences Miracles, Coincidences, whatever, and the bad ones the work of the devil but everything in your life will happen in its season.Â
Against all odds when your time comes to receive your abundance, no one can stand in your way. When you understand that your success is beyond whatever you can imagine on your own, then you will never be surprised at what you achieve because it is the will of the Creator concerning you.
I am reminded by my friends who share my concerns about the state of the world economy and its impact upon Saint Lucia – that this too shall pass. My friends refer to my own statement at the end of my articles and every time I am strengthened. I resolve to keep the Faith. Without Faith it would be difficult to exist in today’s world of grave uncertainties and anxieties.
Most people are praying that in the end, a New World Order will emerge and the playing field will be leveled. The old order is buckling under the pressure of DEBT. If too many countries become bankrupt, it will drag the rest into the same position. The time has come for serious consideration to be given to debt forgiveness. Those countries that find themselves in a state where they can no longer manage their debts must be provided with a solution.
The debt epidemic has spread from governments to citizens. The Jobless situation that has overtaken many persons around the world has caused their personal debt to overwhelm them. There is not only Joblessness, but as a result – Hopelessness has intervened. It is nothing short of a Miracle how many persons cope with the demands of life from day to day. In the midst of all the confusion and strife, there are many people who have a lot to be thankful for.
There is a secret which our people must grasp – that it is necessary for them to cultivate their Minds to think POSITIVELY! Regardless of the state of affairs, positive thinkers can live above the immediate reality. That is the reason why many people wonder how others in the same predicament can be so much at peace with themselves and are in control of their environment. It is the application of that secret that brings about abundance and sometimes persons even pinch themselves when they experience their new state. Armed with the knowledge that with Positive Thinking, Miracles are possible, life can be very different for many persons. I call it a new awakening of citizens. A train the trainer’s programme in delivering Motivational Lectures across the nation will energise citizens and give them greater confidence to achieve a better state of well being.
Any party planning to manage the affairs of the nation for the next five year term will have to engender HOPE in the citizens by preparing them to be a part of the solution to the problems that currently plague the society. A change of Mind Set will be necessary for citizens to contribute meaningfully to the financial and social upliftment of the nation. Everything possible should be done to ensure that citizens are equipped with the knowledge to take their rightful place in the global village. The role of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) must be clearly defined and supported. No government should ignore the importance of Innovation and Technology, and the involvement of the people in promoting their country to the wider world. Generally, the involvement of the people in all aspects of the affairs of the nation is of paramount importance.
When there is an acknowledgement on all sides that a change of Mind Set is necessary, there will be no surprise at what the people of Saint Lucia can achieve for themselves and the nation as a whole.
Remember always to Keep the Faith, God is in Charge, Dream Big and expect Daily Miracles!
