3. The Vision

To position (the Country) as a preferred destination for business and pleasure within the Global Village.

4. The Mission

To solicit the assistance of all people of goodwill to promote (the Country)’s attractions to the world for the Economic and Social benefits of all its citizens

5. Scope and Objectives of the Project

To serve as part of the overall strategy for Trade and Investment. The project is intended to be global in scope, allowing participation of local, regional and international citizens.

The principal objectives of the project are as follows.

1) To promote (the Country) as an attractive destination for business and pleasure.

2) To sensitive the world about the existence of (the Country) and to promote its several business incentives and touristic attractions.

3) To promote the special tourist programmes such as Festivals, Carnival and Sports fixtures.

4) To establish friendly relations around the world by direct contact on a massive scale through the Country’s Investment & Tourism Representatives and the Internet.

5) To assist in mobilizing funds for worthwhile social endeavours.

6. Benefits

1) Direct promotional activity by word of mouth and testimonials.

2) Increased Enquiries from Investors and fact-finding visits.

3) Increased tourism arrivals as a result of Incentive Awards, Conferences, Sports, Entertainment, etc.

4) Increased promotional access via the Internet that will reach the Association’s membership.

7. Administrative Committee:

Representatives of Ministries and Agencies 1) Foreign Affairs & International Trade 2) Commerce, Tourism, Investment and. 3) National Development Corporation. 4) Tourist Board. 5) Chamber of Commerce and other Industry Associations.6) Shipping Association. 7) Bar Association. 8) Medical Association. 9) Technical Associations. 10) Farmers Associations. 11) Christian Council, etc..

8. Administration Location

A desk within the Ministry of a) Foreign Affairs & International Trade or b) Commerce, Tourism, Investments.

9. Staffing

One (1) full time Co-ordinator with the support of a competent Webmaster.

10. The Persons – Investment & Tourism Representatives

a) Male and Female with a keen interest in promoting (the Country).
b) Businessperson or Professional
c) Must possess recognized professional qualifications and/or well experienced in their vocation.
d) Must be well established in the country/community where domiciled.
e) Must be an active member of their Industry/Professional Association for a minimum of five (5) years and must be involved in a Community Programme and or International Service Organisation.
f) Must be willing to travel to (the Country) at their own expense for a minimum of three working days to be inducted.
g) Must be conversant with the use of the computer and internet programmes, ie:
E-mail, Chat Room, E-Groups, etc
The recruitment and selection process will ensure that persons accredited will be reputable and subscribe fully to the objectives of the project.

Special Air Fare and Hotel Rate will be arranged wherever possible and all ground transportation will be arranged by the Host Committee. The induction exercise should take place quarterly.

11. Promotional Strategy to Attract Representatives

The project will be promoted by:
1) The establishment of a website. The website must be interactive with opt – in-email, auto responder, chat room and categorized E-Group – Industry & Profession types postings. The website should be linked to all Government and Corporations websites, major portals, and other websites with a bias for promoting (the Country).

2) Recommendations from local members of the Administrative Committee, Overseas Missions and local Representatives.

12. Incentives

The project should be well advanced within the first year of its establishment. As tangible results are achieved, various incentives with the co-operation of the various beneficiaries would be introduced.

13. Recognition

The Representatives will be awarded a Certificate following the successful completion of an approved induction programme. All participating Private and Public Sector Agencies will have an input in designing the induction programme.

14. Memorandum of Understanding

All accredited Representatives will be requested to enter into a formal M.O.U. with the Project Committee. The M.O.U. will spell out in detail, the performance standards and relationships expected to be maintained with the Committee and other Agencies.
