THE YEAR 2011 WILL BE A LIFE CHANGING YEAR! 

All the Resolutions are behind us now. It is implementation time. Have you developed the rhythm and are prepared to stick to your commitment? Too often we make commitment and do nothing. This year you will be your own judge regarding the progress you will make in keeping with your resolutions. This is a life changing year. The world situation can’t be worst for many so there is no going further downhill. From here onward things can only get better. It is certain that the jobless people of this world who seek gainful employment are most likely to put finding a job in 2011 at the top of their list. That’s a fact, it is for you to step out into the world armed with your resolutions and stay focused. 

It will take all the hype, all the motivation that you can muster to get through 2011. There are all types of predictions, many positive ones and justifiably so, as if we are to listen to the prophets of doom and gloom, the trend will change from homicide to suicide. Everywhere you turn, you hear about problems, problems, problems. There is an urgent need for problem solvers. In business it is about finding solutions to problems before they escalate. If the problem is cash flow a solution has to be found. In today’s world we need to be able to predict all the controllable and uncontrollable variables and take preventative action to put things in place in the event things do not go the way we predicted them. 

Those persons who are grappling with surviving during these economically depressed times have no other alternative than to not just hope that things will get better but rather do something to make things better. What happen to the promises that are made in the Bible? Is God’s word the same, yesterday, today and forever? What happen to the great optimists and people of faith? What about the wonderful books on positive thinking such as “The Power of Positive Thinking” and the companion book, “The Amazing Results of Positive Thinking”? There are so many great books that are life changing. I am always very pleased to introduce persons who are seeking to find a path of fulfillment to a particular book – “Think and Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill which is now free on the Internet. 

You are less likely to effect change in your life if you fail to accept that there is a greater power at work in your life than you. If you believe there is then you are on your way to changing your circumstances. You must be able to apply faith by believing in a Supreme Being that you need to establish communication with. That is the first step. Then by faith, you request the things that will bring about change in your circumstances. Everything is within the realm of possibility. Just have Faith. What is Faith? I have a Biblical explanation for   faith. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Whatever you want to be, you can be. It is always a process but sometimes along the way miracles happen. The journey of a mile begins with the first step. 

I have been extremely busy in these difficult times trying to find a solution that can take care of many persons who are hurting. I can’t do it alone and help is not forth coming. I keep crying out loud that the INTERNET is the future and no one seems to be listening. Our young people have the skills but will only be motivated by a salary. The individuals with the money are not willing to finance something that they are not acquainted with. The governments of recent years have not placed the kind of emphasis on INNOVATION and TECHNOLOGY that will give immediate and massive impact. These are pillars upon which a modern work force is built. Training institutions must begin to turn out the finished products, persons who are in business for themselves before being graduated. The High Impact Growth Strategy sessions produce businesses in 3 to 5 days. ICT is one sure way of making a positive impact on the unemployment situation. Something can be done but it must be on a collective basis. 

It is my wish that some significant progress will be made this year in the way we think in our approach to business. Let ideas contend, come together and turn your idle time into producing creative projects that have potential to be marketed globally. Together, we have the ability to turn our economy around for the better. 

Some interesting things are happening. HWTV, Channels 42 LIME and 78 Karibcable is releasing a number of local programmes that are geared to inform and educate. “Martin without Borders” at 8.30 pm on Tuesday and “Let’s Talk Business” at 8.00pm on Wednesday at 8.00pm. Other programmes on Lifestyle and Fashion will be introduced by the first week in February, 2011.  

Remember always to Keep the Faith, God is in Charge, Dream Big and expect Daily Miracles!
