YOU CAN RUN BUT YOU CAN’T HIDE!

YOU CAN RUN BUT YOU CAN’T HIDE!Â
There is no choice but to face the music and dance. There is trouble and hardship everywhere. It is so difficult to stay positive these days, but if you look hard enough, you will find that there are many ways to maintain your sanity. Just think positive and keep busy. Don’t be overwhelmed by all the sad stories around you. However, we can’t ignore the fact that we are living in times of great uncertainty as the world becomes smaller and flatter, and no one can accurately predict what’s next. There was a time when people were saying that they don’t watch television because it is all bad news. I wonder what those persons are saying now. When it is not strife created by man, it is natural disaster. Â
The world has a leadership crisis. Can we truly look to the USA for leadership after the recent economic crisis? The more we learn about the sub-prime mortgage and how business was transacted, we can only conclude that Big Brother fell asleep on the job. Bogus companies were created to assign mortgages. Today banks cannot trace documents to the owners. While Executives were transferring papers, the banks were being emptied. I just can’t understand the premise of the transactions. A company called DOCS was just churning out documents with just a signature that had no relation to the transaction. It is difficult to understand how such despicable financial crimes could have been planned and executed. Whatever became of the persons who perpetuated the sub-prime mortgage fraud? Â
Those who are prophesying the end of the world in 2011 are having a field day. In the meantime, life goes on, and don’t bother, we are living in a world without end. Changes will come about, time will not stand still and the world will get worse before it gets better. The order of things as we see them today must change. A change has got to come. There are many things that are wrong in our world. God is watching.Â
This shouldn’t surprise my readers. I am one of the recipients of President Obama Campaign Launch Letter. It is not going to be easy for him but he has made certain he is out of the gates first. The expected Billion Dollar Campaign is off and running. At least the access to money has never been a problem for President Obama. He can definitely do a better job than Gaddafi in saying that – All the people love him. There will be many lessons to be learnt from the President Obama’s first term. One thing is certain, no politician can know for sure what the conditions are in government and how governance is applied when he/she is out of office. Many times campaign promises cannot be realized in government because the prevailing conditions cannot accommodate the proposed actions.Â
Is our region ready for a new approach to Internet technology in election campaigning? It is time that our politicians follow the leader and put into action President Obama’s approach to Internet campaigning. From parties head quarters, a few hundred people could be engaged at Meet the Candidate Meetings by using www.gotomeetings.com with video link. Put campaign workers to engage constituents in chat rooms. Set up groups where questions could be asked of the various candidates. Use Facebook and You Tube as well. The more the merrier. We now have internet Radio and TV. Lots of things can happen on line in an effort to drive the young people and disenchanted adults to the polls.Â
I feel compelled to treat my readers to something uplifting and decided after careful thought to reintroduce my selected Motivational piece of the week.Â
SELECT YOUR ENVIRONMENT WITH CARE
Your own positive energy will compel things to turn out the way you desire when you’re surrounded by positive people.
Your environment is your mental feeding ground from which the food that goes into your mind is extracted.
Choose your environment with care, one that is positive, one that lifts you up and gives you wings to soar.
Create favorable conditions through your association with others. Avoid people who belittle your ambition.
Small people always do that, but the really great make you feel that you, too, can become great.
We shape our buildings, thereafter they shape us.
It’s your friends that make your world.
