IT IS TIME TO GET SERIOUS ABOUT
GOD’S BUSINESS & GIVE LOVE A TRY!!!

To all my readers, HAPPY EASTER! I plan to spend a very quiet Easter, spending time reading my Bible and at my computer. Easter is a time for reflection on how the life of one man changed the world and gave all men hope. He came, He lived, He died, was buried and He rose from the grave. He conquered death and is alive for evermore! He came that we may have live and have it more abundantly so that our joys may be fulfilled. He was rich but yet poor. He gave love but was crucified. He healed the sick and fed the hungry. He lit up the world and continues to do so even now because He lives and best of all he lives within our hearts, and the Comforter, the Holy Spirit bears witness to that fact. In His final moments prior to His crucifixion there were a few statements which should always guide those of us who claim to be His disciples, “Feed my sheep” and taking care of the family “son behold thy mother, mother behold thy son”. Be ye one another’s keeper.

The responsibilities of Leaders are great but with the secret weapon of LOVE our leaders and Entrepreneurs in particular can change the world. There is no greater gift than LOVE. For God so loved the world that He gave His only Begotten Son to suffer upon the cross and die for the sins of the world, greater Love hath no man. God so love us that he gave us choices. This Easter, let it be special as we continue to enjoy the gifts of life and reap the promise of increased knowledge. Those who are blessed and are custodians of God’s wealth are called upon to feed His sheep. Be concerned about crime and poverty, begin to share and care for the less fortunate. It is time for more to be done for the less fortunate. A good way to make a dent into the crisis that is no longer looming but is already with us, is for Governments in the developing world to follow in the path of the developed world and give special incentives to Companies that invest in poverty reduction and humanitarian programmes. Many may argue that businesses get tax write off for donations but up until now it is left to the individual company. The process needs to be driven and maybe the time has come for the establishment of Special Donation Companies which will make it a business of collecting donations that will accrue a premium for tax deduction. Invest one dollar in donation and get a premium of another dollar. A better way has to be found to harness contributions from the private sector so that we can guarantee peace in our communities and help save the lives of our young people. Let us all give Love a try. Look around you this Easter and help someone because it is in helping others that our lives will not be in vain.

I feel compelled to share with you a message of Hope as we celebrate yet another season of Easter. The Easter story is the greatest story in the Bible, it sets all the scenes of live – adoration, faithfulness, deception, lack of faith, forgiveness, rejoicing and most of all Love. After all, what greater business can we be involved with than God’s business? He commanded us to seek first, the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all things shall be added unto us. It is time to take stock on how well if at all, you have delivered on this mandate. It is never too late.

This was my intended headline “MAKE MONEY, SAVE MONEY, AND TRAVEL LIKE A PRO” but the spirit moved me into the direction of the subject of God’s Business. Maybe someone who has been looking for a direction in their relationship with the less fortunate will find a reason for being in business to make a difference in the lives of others. Names like Bill Gates, Warren Buffet must mean something to you as an Entrepreneur, they are the most successful at what they do and they are special to the poor and needy of the world. Have you every wanted to be like them? Or have you only been concerned about your immediate family? Your family cannot live on their own, we live in an interdependent world. We depend on each other and our quality of life will be richer if we take care of the people around us. When last have you fed the poor in your neighbourhood or visit an indigent home and distribute some food or essential personal care items? If you don’t know how to get around helping the poor, talk to the Captain of the Salvation Army. Have you ever given thought to the possibility of helping a poor child in your community even if you own a small shop? A richer life is only achieved by the good seeds you sow. Let us all dedicate this Easter to finding new meaning to our discipleship as we strive to be in Business with God in making our world a better place. Let us give LOVE a try!

God bless you all and as usual remember to Keep the Faith, knowing always that God is in Charge and do Expect Miracles in 2007!!!
