There is another website www.litemind.com, the mission of which is simply to “explore ways to use our minds efficiently” and I quote from Luciano Passuello: “I firmly believe that our own minds are the greatest tool we have to achieve anything we want. The televised debate following the 2011 Budget presentation by the Minister of Finance and Economic Affairs, the Honourable Christopher Sinckler, was informative and entertaining but it remains to be seen how well the implementation proposals are managed.
The road ahead is not easy for politicians as the majority of people have grown to rely on them for their survival. Self Help, Self Reliance, Self Determination, Self Worth, Self Esteem, are all words that are needed to give meaning in the lives of the people. When self worth is truly established in the minds of the people, only then will they be in a position to enter into meaningful partnership with the government.
“The myth of “taking” Barbadians’ jobs arises from segmented myopic thinking of those who are stuck in a rut or do not take the time to learn from the history of successful nations which themselves have benefitted from the immigration of human resources (at all levels) from other countries (including Barbados). This myth must be exploded.”
