Staying Alive Financially:
As the pandemic deepens, people will become more desperate and lose their sense of reasoning, subscribing to all types of outright scams. The perpetrators of such frauds are well aware of the financial, social and emotional implications of the moment and that money is the only answer.

The Guyanese Critic seems to have adopted a new role post the final election results, and the installation of a new government. He is now ensuring that the Government delivers on its campaign promises and that Ministers perform. While being the problem solver for many Guyanese, he is aggressively expanding his media services which will shortly include a Newspaper.

We are in this together and what better way to build a solid foundation for recovery than to foster public-private partnerships not only within a Caribbean country but also between Caribbean countries and beyond.

I can see is a real opportunity for the cooperative movement to expand. This was the vehicle that the late President Forbes Burnham identified for the transformation of Guyana, whereby the people were challenged to house, feed and clothe themselves. It is time for us to get back to basics. There are activities that are occurring such as sea moss farming, beekeeping, specialised farming that are quietly working through the system. Are there investment opportunities in such businesses for the little man? Yes there are opportunities. There are also niches in the retail sector that the little small can compete successfully.
