The processes available for the formal acquisition of knowledge are through primary, secondary, tertiary academic education and technical or vocational training. Apprenticeship is a powerful one-on-one training prospect. The opportunity to gain global experience is invaluable.

40 YEARS OF WALKING

Wednesday, September 8th, 2021

The benefits of walking have been abundant in boosting my holistic health. There is much to share business-wise, mentally, physically, socially, spiritually.

I have either walked alone or with family or friends on the beach, across the golf course, within botanical gardens, around a park, through the neighborhood, in hilly terrain, over and away, with a plethora of positive memories.

WHERE WILL COVID 19 TAKE US?

Sunday, September 5th, 2021

It finally happened. Former President, Donald J. Trump recommended taking the vaccine to his followers at a rally at Cullman, Alabama on Saturday 21st August, 2021. Now that he has acknowledged that he took the vaccine and recommended that his followers be vaccinated, where do the anti-vaxxers stand now? Will “Make America Great Again” (MAGA) members fall in line or continue to refuse to take the vaccine? There are indications that some MAGA members are feeling a sense of betrayal, to the point where they booed him. Only time will tell.

DEVELOPING A SENSE OF URGENCY!

Sunday, September 5th, 2021

It has been a week of intense activity on the political front here in Saint Lucia. We saw the first sitting of parliament and urgent bills presented to members of that august body. It should be the hope of all Saint Lucians that the country navigates a path to establishing transparency and accountability that will strive in a state of inclusiveness, especially those citizens who uphold the principle of good governance.

WHAT CAN WE DO TO AVOID THE RAVAGES OF THE COVID 19 PANDEMIC?

Sunday, August 15th, 2021

We will never get everything we want in life, so as in most things, we have to live in a state of compromise. Let us give the government time to perform and we will be back to take a first look after 100 days. I hope that my readers are willing to live with that. In previous columns, I laid out my expectations of the government that would have formed the present administration. They are well documented in my columns, even to the point where I gave projections for the outcome of the elections.

IT IS GOING TO BE ALRIGHT!

Sunday, August 8th, 2021

We hear a lot about a Youth economy but I want to feel that the involvement of Elders is so fundamental and can only be taken as a given, that it needs not to be over-emphasised. I hope I am correct in thinking that we must forge collaboration between the young and the old if we are going to accelerate the progress necessary to transform our economy.

OUR CREATOR’S WILL IS DONE!

Sunday, August 1st, 2021

Fear of the CREATOR is the beginning of all wisdom. We must return to Bible Believing/Christian Principles that governed our actions. There should be a Biblical standard for all to strive for, but instead, some of our leaders are bent on breaking down established standards that worked in the past. However, if those standards are reintroduced, they will work for us today and in the future if the leaders are respectful of the higher power. We must return to Biblical Values. The Bible teachings exhort believers to seek first the kingdom of the Creator and his righteousness, and everything else will be added on.

IN THE POLITICS OF SAINT LUCIA – WILL IT BE CONTINUITY OR CHANGE?

Sunday, July 25th, 2021

This is decision time, and those who consider themselves in the category of the Moveable Middle must take a stand and do what is right for their country. I mentioned in a previous column that the 2021 General Elections in Saint Lucia will be the Mother of all General Elections. Saint Lucia is at the Cross Roads.

TOO MANY INFLUENCERS HAVE LOST THEIR VOICES!

Wednesday, July 21st, 2021

The print, visual, and social media are ablaze with wishful thinking, in some cases promoting the impossible. It is necessary that all Bible-believing Christians seek guidance from the Almighty to direct their decision-making when it comes to marking their ballot on the day of elections. These elections will be won based on the will of our Creator concerning his disciples. Prayers will move mountains and his people will be granted the desires of their hearts. Saint Lucia is not only beautiful but blessed. Sunday, the 25th of July, 2021 should be designated a national day of prayer. Instead of jumping in the streets, we need to call upon Yahweh’s intervention in our affairs. He is able.
