He recognized, as a committed regionalist, that the sustainable solution for the small states and coastal communities in the Caribbean is based on “unity is strength”. Guyana has settled down to business with President Ali making policy statements that will change the way things have been done in the past by both major political parties. A new day has dawned for the people of Guyana, it is now up to the people to ensure that the manifesto promises and other recommendations are carried out. The opposition and the media must get to work to ensure that our democracy stays alive and well.

Saint Lucia today:
Things have been quiet during the past week. Saint Lucia remains COVID 19 Death Free. The airlines are making their schedule flights and everything seems to be going fine with the limited opening up of the tourism sector.
Workers for the most part in the private sector are going about their business; however, job losses continue to be of concern as companies continue to close, and downsize. With reduced revenue, businesses are under pressure to survive. In the meantime, there has been activity in the construction sector.

Politics in the USA and the Region:
What can I say? This week I will be mute on politics and maybe for a few weeks, unless my audience demands of me otherwise.

Finally, given the progress made in the MLM industry – over 20 million people involved in the industry with sales of 36 Billion in the USA alone, it is time for us in the Caribbean to design our own MLM programme to meet our needs and remove ourselves from the unscrupulous promoters in the industry.

Harris at Large on Sunday – Chapter 10

If anyone should ask me what keeps me up at nights, I would hasten to say – MONEY! I am proud of the fact that when this program began, my first topic was on the topic, generating wealth through the Stock Market, and I also alluded to FOREX Trading, Mutual Funds, Real Estate and Entrepreneurship. However, most of the avenues for investing are based on long term strategies – buy and hold, and constant development. However, what I wish to draw to your attention today is – generating cash flow with a side hustle that can be so viable that it can provide seed capital to start your dream investment.

While regional and international organisations, and Governments are calling on Guyana’s to conclude the March 2, 2020 elections, the matter is back in the courts, this time the Caribbean Court of Justice (CCJ) where everyone hopes will be the final leg of a long journey to bring a conclusion to the matter of installing a President and a new parliament. The majority of stakeholders are tired of waiting and need an urgent resolution of the matter as it relates to the elections.

Politics in Guyana:
Like the pandemic, where no one knows when it will end, no one knows when the elections in Guyana will be declared. Last week, we taught we would have had a government by weekend but instead we saw a situation where the principal stakeholders were back in court.
